Once, the kingdom of Valkorath ruled the northern world, an empire forged by steel and sorcery. Its throne was crowned by a single artifact—the Shattered Crown, the source of the Lysander Dynasty's might. But ambition proved its undoing. When King Gorvath Lysander sought to defy death with forbidden magic, he shattered not only the crown but the kingdom itself. His soul was torn and bound to the seven fragments, each cursed, each hidden across the desolate realm he once ruled.

Now, centuries later, an exile returns.

Theron Lysander, last scion of the fallen royal line, wanders the frostbitten north consumed by vengeance. His family was slaughtered, his name erased, his legacy buried beneath the ice. When whispers of a crown fragment surface near the ruined capital of Tornath, he sets out on a path that will pit him against ancient terrors, spectral curses, and the truth of his own bloodline.

Haunted by dreams not his own, dreams in which the Wraith King—Gorvath himself—speaks through him, Theron is drawn into a journey he cannot abandon. But he will not walk this path alone.

Selene Draith, a master thief with a haunted past, joins him for reasons of her own—redemption, coin, and the chance to rewrite her fate. Hadran Volske, a warrior bound to ancient oaths, must choose between tradition and truth as he watches the old world stir once more. Together, they traverse a landscape of cursed ruins, ravenous beasts, treacherous warlords, and forgotten gods. Each step forward brings them closer to the assembled crown—and to the Wraith King’s rebirth.

But reuniting the crown carries a terrible price.

The curse that destroyed Valkorath was never broken. The Wraith King sleeps within the fragments, his spirit growing stronger with every piece reclaimed. And should the crown be made whole again, so too shall he rise.

As the past claws its way into the present, Theron must confront a harrowing truth: the fate of Valkorath rests not only on steel and will, but on whether he can overcome the very darkness he was born to inherit. Is he destined to restore a broken land—or to finish what his ancestor began?
