As the crew crosses the Cradle Shards—fractured orbital remains connected by unstable grav-bridges—they confront feral starborn fauna, planar distortions known as Breachfields, and star-cults worshipping celestial decay. In the Echo-Tombs, ancient memory vaults sing with the digital ghosts of extinct minds. But darker forces stir.

Morkan Vey, an outlaw gene-shaper, seeks union with the Leviathan. And Sarra Dren, a rival captain once left for dead, returns infused with the will of an extinct AI choir. At the center of it all is Ysaret Vaal, a mysterious figure claiming to be a shard of the Leviathan itself—offering guidance, at a cost.
